Cristian Munoz was born deaf in 1971 and Born Again in 1988 in Costa Rica. He graduated from Bible Seminary in 2000. Prior to joining D.E.A.F. in 2001, he taught and occasionally preached to the Deaf in his Church near San Jose, Costa Rica. Cristian has also served as a camp counselor, led Deaf sports activities, participated in several short term Missions trips. One of Cristian's passions is the development of Christian Deaf leaders. On November 18, 2006, Cristian
married Chris Munoz. Chris is Hearing and lived in El Salvador. Cristian met his wife there, since Chris worked in the Deaf MInistry in her town of San Miguel. Now, she is one of the Interpreter's at the Church they attend. Cristian was ordained there and now is the Deaf Pastor for the church.
